"Stage Wars" William Shakespeare's The Clone Army Attacketh by Ian Doescher

William Shakespeare's The Clone Army Attacketh by Ian Doescher. Let that sink in for a second.

Yep it's pretty funny, it's a bit of a novelty book that I received as a gift from one of my close friends. It's Star Wars: Episode II in the form of a Shakespearean play, with beautiful illustrations of Jedi Knights and their enemies in Shakespearean fashion (if that's the correct thing to call it).

To be honest I skimmed this one. I know the movie pretty well and while the style of it's writing was enjoyable - it wasn't something I wanted to read word for word. I enjoyed reading the gist of the story and going through the illustrations with one of my young friends.

It took me a long time to read this, but I'm glad I had the chance to go through it recently. The book itself is beautiful to be sure. It has a hard cover with a paper dust cover. The detail of the illustration on the front cover doesn't quite show up on the picture I took, but it's gorgeous. Even the hard cover underneath looks really good, styled like an old book I couldn't decide whether to keep the book jacket on or off! This coupled with the aforementioned illustrations made this a visually appealing book and one I'm proud to have sitting on the 'read' side of my bookshelf.
